been doing some math
there are 370 homeless people in New Bedford, MA as of the 2022 census
If I were to create something I call a care package, a backpack that contains
x2 pairs of t-shirts
x1 toothbrush + toothpaste
x1 deodorant stick
x2 bars of soap
x2 shampoo
the total would be $38.35 each backpack
